M.I.Z. I Miss You

Spent 23 hours in Columbia, Missouri. It was quick, yet refreshing.
Brooke's wedding shower was this weekend. Yes, one of my friends is getting married. . .crazy, i know. It was great to see my old roommates and friends. I was afraid that when I moved away from Columbia I would miss them like crazy, and turns out I was right. Nothing's changed, I have some of the best friends in the world. They're funny, they're cool, they make me feel good about my self. They re-assured me that my hair did not look stupid (oh, yeah, did i mention that I cut my hair up to my ears and dyed it brown? When I'm ready, i will put a picture of the new doo on the blog,).
Basically It was an afternoon of wine and presents and friends and wine and fun and laughing and wine. Don't worry, we had a designated driver of course, and you're not going to believe who it was: BRANDON. Yeah. he was in Columbia too! He was setting up his housing situation for the fall semester at Mizzou. Turns out he is going to live in the brand new Sig-Ep house. He is stoked and so am I. Guess that means I'll be making a few more trip to Columbia, fine by me.
St. Patricks day is a big deal at Mizzou, especially among the Engineering school. Apparently St. Patrick was the patron saint of engineers. Mizzou has rich history of traditions, so the story goes that if you stand on the shamrock in front of the engineering school and kiss your loved one, you are destined to be married. Ok, so believe it if you will, but Brandon and I are here to say thank you to St. Patrick. (Dirk being a engineer and all.) If it weren't for you and your shalaylee, we may not be here. I'll drink to that.
