Somebody punched the baby

I promise it wasn't me. Though to be completely honest, it was nice to walk around with him and his bruised and bandaged face in the city at night. Nobody was about to mess with me!
It was so great to have Brandon visit. I miss him so much, he's my best friend. . and my baby brother. You may have noticed that there were no post for a few weeks. These last few weeks have been trying and tiresome, but still good. I just needed to get through that rough patch to enjoy this time that much more. Besides, it has warmed up a little in the city and that has made a world of difference (for clarification, warmer not warm. 25 degrees as opposed to -25. Hallelujah!)
Anywho, here is a fun little run down of what Brando and I did.
Snow storms delayed him from coming in until late Sunday night, boo. Even though it was late we were determined to hit the town. We went down to Rush street and got chicago deep dish at UNOs. Mmm mmm.
I had to work the next morning but Brandon, Nina and I went out to breakfast early in the morning. For the record Nina hates here job and her computer always poops out on her and creates problems. So since her computer was acting up and going to make her day even more difficult, we decided to atleast start the day out right, hopefully it helped.
Brandon is all grown up. he just found his way around the city all by himself. He even found his way all the way down to the museum of science and industry down in Hyde park and back by himself. He's totally figured out the public transportation, which is far ahead of some chicago natives. And i know he's an adult but i'm just psyched to see what a cool adult he is. Way to go him.
One more reason I love Chicago, on Mondays and Tuesdays during February admission to the aquarium and museums are free. So Brandon and I walked up to the aquarium and got to see the baby beluga! So Cool! I've been waiting to see it since this summer, the baby beluga, named Bella, was born in July. I have to admit though, the penguins were the most entertaining. Brandon and I had a running commentary of what we thought the penguins were saying. We were at the penguin exhibit until it closed. I love Brandon because i can be a total nerd with him and he's fine with it. Oh i miss that.
Next we headed to 10PIN, a bowling alley and bar in the House of Blues. I've been wanting to go there since we were at House of blues a couple of weeks ago. We checked it out and monday is Retro night, $2 games and specials. It was a blast, really hip. We ended up playing like 4 rounds. Turns out I'm good at bowling. Who knew. And how many places can you order a round of bowling and a round of s'mores?
The whole reason Brandon was here in the first place was to cash in on his Christmas present. He got tickets to the red Hot Chili Pepper from, uh. . santa. If you didn't already know this, brandon is the biggest RHCP fan out there. the said he wants to get a tattoo of Flea on his arm (he's not actually doing it, but you get the point, he's obsessed.) So we made our way out to Rosemont on Tuesday night via the Blue line (which was not as lightning fast as advertised). None-the-less, we got there and and witnessed an amazing performance! I mean, I always liked the Chili Peppers but getting to see them live proved just how talented they are, i see why Brandon looks up to them so much. So we took the same Blue LIne (aka Poo line) home.
So it was a whirlwind couple of days. He left the next morning after we sought out another fun place for breakfast. I realize i use the term "whirlwind" often in this blog, but that's pretty much the only way to describe my breif visits with friends or family. So i'm telling you right here and now, come, take your coat off, stay awhile.
